PICKS OF THE WEEK

Mansnaps.com is just TWO weeks away from launch so make sure you keep in the loop with all the latest information by following us on Facebook!

This weeks top three picks from the high st embrace the current print trend.

This African print t-shirt is perfect for the Global Traveller look. It's an easy print to wear with jeans or chinos as well as chino shorts. If you're brave then mix with printed shorts. Check out Mansnaps contributor Owen Moss-Proctor editorial post for ideas!

Forever 21 offer affordable fashion had this vest is a prime example. The colour block print is a versatile piece, it will look great with shorts on the beach or layered under a shirt. Also the dark colour way will make it transitional through autumn as a layering piece.

I am in love with these paisley print shorts! If you're looking for something a little bit different this summer then these are perfect. Reasonably priced and a great style, these shorts will work well for print blocking or with a plain t-shirt or vest.

PICKS OF THE WEEK

For this weeks top three picks from the hight st, I have gone for a 1970's vibe. The inspiration has come from Topman Design's S/S collection which is a mix of bohemian eastern influences.

The key piece is the silk shirt below, but if you're not that committed to the look you can take inspiration from the other pieces and build them into a style you're more comfortable with.

Pieces like this, make me really excited about menswear this year. To say that this shirt will be a 'Marmite' part of the Topman Design collection, is an understatement. You will either, love it or hate it. Although I couldn't see myself wearing it, I think it's a great statement shirt and a bold move in the right direction for Topman Design.

These shorts are a great versatile item that will sit into multiple trends this S/S. The stripes allow them instant access to the nautical club, the style means that they can tag along to the global traveller look and the colour gives them 1970's credentials. To work the 1970's look would mean using clashing prints and fabrics against them which can be tricky.

I love this colour block t-shirt from Pull & Bear. Infact I love nearly all the t-shirts they have in their current collection. Not only are they reasonably priced but the colours are perfect for the 1970's look.

COLOURED JEANS

Continuing with my colour pop weekend is coloured jeans.

Coloured jeans are a huge trend right now for women and men. I'm loving seeing colour being introduced to this time of year and think that coloured jeans look great dressed up with shirts and dressed down with t shirts and trainers.

If you want to follow the colour block trend then go for a bold clashing colour to wear on top, if you want something a bit more understated then white shirts look seriously cool with coloured jeans.

Here are my high st favourites!

COLOUR BLOCKING

Kick starting my weekend of colour is the continuing colour block trend. This was big in the summer and it's still going strong on the high st, although the colour palette is more muted than the summer brights.

Colour blocking is all about wearing blocked, bold, contrasting colours. This can be with coloured bottoms and a different coloured top, or more easy to wear is colour block tops. Colour block tops work by using at least two different colours in blocks (not stripes), you will also see pocket and sleeve details.

Here are my favourite colour blocked pieces on the high st right now.
