This weeks top three picks from the high st embrace the current print trend.

This African print t-shirt is perfect for the Global Traveller look. It's an easy print to wear with jeans or chinos as well as chino shorts. If you're brave then mix with printed shorts. Check out Mansnaps contributor Owen Moss-Proctor editorial post for ideas!

Forever 21 offer affordable fashion had this vest is a prime example. The colour block print is a versatile piece, it will look great with shorts on the beach or layered under a shirt. Also the dark colour way will make it transitional through autumn as a layering piece.

I am in love with these paisley print shorts! If you're looking for something a little bit different this summer then these are perfect. Reasonably priced and a great style, these shorts will work well for print blocking or with a plain t-shirt or vest.

Baseball jackets have been around for AGES and I never thought the look would still be prominent in December, but they're still going strong on the high st.

SHAWL NECK CARDIGAN

Kick starting my #mansnapswinter weekend is Shawl neck cardigans!

They are all over the high st at the moment in heavy and fine gauge knits. Personally I love a chunky knit, slightly over sized, shawl neck cardigan to keep me warm during winter. There are loads of different styles out there to suit all tastes and many have trend crossover appeal so expect to see fairisle, cable knit and toggle detailing.

SHEARLING

Shearling is a big trend for women this A/W and is slowly building year on year for men. Last year we seen it feature when the aviator jacket made a bit of a comeback. This year however it is seen not only as trims on outerwear but as a key detail for bags and boots. 

The cost of the item will depend on the authenticity of the shearling although on the high st you can expect to see predominantly synthetic shearling.

FAIRISLE

 

Fairisle is a knitting technique used to create patterns with multiple colours and it originates from a tiny island north of Scotland also called Fair Isle. 

For me, fairisle IS A/W. It makes me think of snow tipped mountains, log cabins and of course Christmas!

You'll see fairisle prints across men's knitwear and winter accessories all through the season, with more Christmas inspired patterns appearing closer to December.
